Welcome To Common Ground
Common Ground is a CEA church plant near 4-Corners in
At Common Ground Church you will find a style of faith that isn't "preachy" or "holier than thou." What attracts us to Jesus is that he speaks the truth and loves wandering and imperfect people like you and me. Though our church takes the Bible seriously, we don't feel the need to push it on people. You don't have to believe, act, look, and vote like us to feel accepted. Jesus' way of leading with love before speaking the truth resulted in crowds of people from all walks of life being attracted to his way of life and teachings.
If you feel some disdain for organized religion and Christianity in particular, you are probably bumping into hidden truths about the way the Christian faith has been wrongly expressed. Too often faith becomes rigid, believers are quick to judge, and answers given to our tough questions feel empty. Instead of offering you a "bumper sticker" slogan, Common Ground will strive to show and tell you how imaginable, challenging, and relevant following Jesus is in our daily lives.
We know it is not easy to check out a new church. For now, you have come to the right place. We have worked hard to assure that this site is a useful tool in exploring our church. At the same time, we know that no web site has all the information that you are looking for or can totally substitute for human connection. So, if you have unanswered questions or just want to connect with a live person, give us a call or visit our church this Sunday! We'll be expecting you.
Find God Not Religion. . .
The only thing we'll ask of you is simple: relax. When you are a guest at Common Ground you're with friends. You won't find a guilt trip or a bunch of Bible thumping. What you will find is a casual atmosphere, imperfect people and a commitment to investigate the life and teachings of Jesus. Common Ground is a unique church with an uncommon vision. We strive to walk on common ground with others so we can help people find God, not religion.
Our worship services are designed to be relevant, enjoyable, and meaningful. We discovered that the best way to grow spiritually is in small groups and ministry teams that offer authentic relationships. We invest heavily in families, children and students, believing that God will greatly influence the world through them.
Whatever your circumstances - single, married, single again, with or without children - whether you're over-churched or under-churched, and no matter where you've been or what you've done, you matter to God and you matter to us. So, we hope to see you soon at Common Ground Church.
